SK Telecom unveils 'A. log' feature to organize AI glasses photos

SK Telecom is launching a new feature called "A. log" that automatically organizes photos taken with Meta's AI glasses. The feature is available on Android operating systems through an update to the A. app.

SK Telecom announced Monday that A. log — an AI-powered feature that organizes and helps users retrieve photos taken with Meta's AI glasses and Android smartphones — is now available on the A. app.

A. log uses AI to analyze the content of photos and automatically generate titles, descriptions and relevant tags. When a user photographs a performance poster, for example, the feature records details such as the performance name, date and venue.

Users can search their records by time or keyword and view related entries grouped in list form based on auto-generated tags. Photos are automatically classified into categories including business cards, receipts, whiteboards, meeting materials, parking locations and posters.

AI glasses users can access the A. log screen from the upper left of the A. app and enable the automatic sync function. Photos taken with AI glasses can then be linked to A. log and used as records. All Meta AI glasses models are compatible, including the Ray-Ban Meta Gen2.

Users who access A. through a smartphone can also use the feature by taking photos with the in-app A. log camera or importing existing images from their phone's photo library.

A. log also automatically masks sensitive information — such as resident registration numbers — before analyzing any photo that contains personal data. Photos are stored only on the user's device and are not uploaded to a server.

SK Telecom said it plans to use A. log to give users an easy way to document and revisit their daily lives through photos. The company also intends to link A. log with its "A. Note" service so that photos and memos can be reviewed together as a unified record, as part of its ongoing effort to enhance its AI services. A. log is available on Android OS via an update to the A. app.

"A. log extends the utility of new devices — like AI glasses, which can capture moments instantly — into an everyday recording experience," said Jang Seong-guk, head of AI service development at SK Telecom. "We will continue to advance the A. service so that users can more easily capture and revisit information in a variety of forms."
