Multicultural activities combined with environmental education
Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), the quasi-market public enterprise that operates the foreigners-only Seven Luck casino, said it will participate in the "2026 Gangnam Family Festival," hosted by Gangnam-gu, on Saturday.
The festival consolidates four previously separate events into one: a gender equality week program, a children's writing and drawing competition, a family flea market and a multicultural family playground.
The family flea market will feature 40 family teams sharing and selling secondhand goods, while the multicultural playground will showcase traditional cultures from 15 countries, including Italy, Belarus, Bolivia and Russia.
GKL will operate a "coffee grounds soap-making" experience booth at the event to raise awareness of resource recycling and environmental protection.
"We are delighted to contribute to revitalizing local culture and tourism and to protecting the environment through our participation in this festival," GKL President Yun Du-hyeon said. "GKL will continue to fulfill its role as a public enterprise by growing together with local communities."
A total of 10 organizations and companies will take part in the event, including GKL, UNICEF, Kangwon Land, SH Corp., Suseo Police Station, the Gangnam-gu Korean Medicine Association, Gangnam Ilwon Reading Room, Gangnam Senior Welfare Center, Yeoksam Youth Center and the Seoul Water Regeneration Facilities Corporation.
