NH NongHyup Bank's Seongju-gun branch visited the Seongju-gun county office Thursday and delivered 70 million won ($51,500) in county treasury cooperation project funds.
The funds were provided under a county treasury designation agreement signed in 2023.
Under the agreement, the branch will contribute 70 million won annually from 2024 through 2027, for a total of 280 million won over four years.
Yeo Sang-dae, head of NH NongHyup Bank's Seongju-gun branch, said the delivery of the cooperation funds would serve as a meaningful opportunity for the local financial institution and Seongju-gun to grow together. "We will take the lead in becoming a financial institution trusted by county residents through various forms of cooperation," he added.
Seongju-gun County Mayor Jeon Hwa-sik thanked the branch for its support of residents and local development. He said the full amount would be channeled through the Byeolgo-eul Scholarship Foundation to fund talent development programs, helping local youth pursue their dreams.
