The Hyundai Daegu announced Friday that it will hold its "2026 Chuseok Gift Set Main Sale" event at the food hall on the first below-ground floor through Sept. 23.
During the event, The Hyundai Daegu will offer more than 1,600 gift products spanning beef, seafood, produce, alcoholic beverages and lifestyle categories.
Reflecting growing demand for premium food and a trend toward simpler holiday gifting, the store will offer 120,000 sets of Hanwoo (Korean beef) gift sets — a record high and a 10 percent increase from last year.
In the beef category, the store has significantly expanded its "Sodam" line of small-portion gift sets, designed so recipients can enjoy fresh cuts as needed.
For this Chuseok, the store is for the first time launching a premium new product featuring top-grade 1++ Hanwoo and 12 specialty cuts, each portioned in 200-gram packages.
Flagship products include the "Hyundai Myeongpum Hanwoo Sodam Mae," a small-portion grilling set priced at 690,000 won ($508), and the "Hyundai Myeongpum Hanwoo Sodam Juk," a combination of grilling cuts and brisket for soup, priced at 430,000 won.
Also on offer are the "Hanwoo Midam Specialty Cuts Mae" (650,000 won) and "Hanwoo Midam Specialty Cuts Yeon" (380,000 won), featuring hand-selected rare cuts available only in limited quantities. Targeting premium demand, the store will also carry the "Hyundai Myeongpum Hanwoo No. 9" (3 million won), made exclusively from the highest marbling grade (No. 9), and the "Hyundai Myeongpum Hanwoo Premium" (2 million won).
Alongside these, the store has prepared a diverse range of eco-friendly Hanwoo gift sets reflecting sustainable livestock practices.
Limited-edition offerings include the "Animal Welfare Organic Premium Hanwoo Mae" (390,000 won) from Manhee Farm and Hyeonwoo Farm in Haenam, South Jeolla Province, the "Hyeonjungbae Farm Jeju Black Hanwoo Set" (320,000 won) and the "Seongiisidol Ranch Organic Hanwoo Set" (260,000 won).
Produce gift sets have been upgraded with stricter standards for sweetness and quality. For the first time this sales period, Hyundai Department Store will introduce the "H Sweet High-Brix Peach Set" (180,000 won), reflecting rising demand for premium fruit desserts.
The store has also expanded its mixed fruit set inventory by more than 30 percent.
Featured products include the "Hyundai Myeongpum Mixed Fruit Special Mae" (240,000 won — two apples, two pears, two hwanggeumhyang citrus, one bunch of Shine Muscat grapes, one bunch of Red Shine Muscat grapes, one muskmelon and two apple mangoes) and the "Sandleunaeeum Mixed Fruit" set (180,000 won — four apples, two pears, one muskmelon and two bunches of Shine Muscat grapes).
Building on its food credentials, the store will also unveil a range of distinctive gourmet gift sets developed in collaboration with influencers and celebrity chefs, and has built a mobile shopping experience using AI technology.
Through Hyundai Department Store's AI shopping assistant "heydi," customers can receive personalized Chuseok gift recommendations via natural conversation, whether at the department store's physical locations or on its online platform, The Hyundai Hi.
By entering details such as the occasion, budget and the recipient's age group, customers can receive tailored gift set suggestions from heydi.
"We will manage every step with care — from stocking inventory to processing orders and handling delivery — so that each gift reaches its recipient in perfect condition," a Hyundai Department Store official said.
