Members of foreign press agencies strolled through Changdeok palace on Tuesday, reflecting on Korea’s tumultuous past and its effects.

　With this Saturday marking the Korean War’s 61 year anniversary, journalists gathered in Seoul for a week long tour to see just how far the country has developed since.

　And they are certainly impressed with what they see.

　INTERVIEW 　Mark Cummins Content Manager for Audio and Language Content 　“I think it is great to be able to understand the developments that have happened since.　The sense of modern Seoul that I get is that it is very vibrant. What people are wearing, the stores you see, the coffee shops those sorts of impressions that I have is of a really vibrant, young society.

　The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism invited 9 journalists from 6 different countries including England, Australia and the Philippines.

　All of the invited countries had soldiers stand shoulder to shoulder with South Korean troops during the War.

　Some of the journalists also held roundtable discussions regarding the Road to Peace on the Korean Peninsula with experts.

　The reporters will be here till Saturday.
